摘　　要：《西游》故事完整,董说为何要续补,又究竟想补些什么呢?选择镜这个有特殊蕴含的意象作为研究对象,在对比了《西游记》与《西游补》中的镜之后,得出结论:《西游补》不只是对故事情节或是对镜子的补充,其真正所补的是深藏其中并不断发展着的思想认识。Journey to the West is complete of its own. Why did Dong Shuo write a sequel? What did he supplement? This paper chooses a special image mirror as the object of study. Having contrasted the mirror in Journey to the West with the one in the Sequel by Dong Shuo, this paper concludes that Dong Shuo's Sequel is a supplement not only to the plot or the mirror of Journey to the West, but also to the ever-developing understandings deeply hidden in it.
