摘　　要：NAFTA’s impact upon Mexico’s agricultural sector is a hotly debated topic. Reduction of tax barriers has resulted in swift increase of agricultural imports into Mexico. One of the consequences is the uneven development of the sub-sectors within this area.Under NAFTA stipulations agricultural subsidy has changed from price subsidy to income support in the form of a plan called PROCAMPO. So far this plan has been relatively successful. Since NAFTA was created, Mexico’s per capita GDP has increased, but this has not lessened rural poverty greatly.NAFTA's impact upon Mexico's agricultural sector is a hotly debated topic.
