摘　　要：虚拟专用网(VirtualPrivateNetwork)是一种目前已被广泛应用于广域网(WAN)连接的技术,实现公共网络上安全传输私有网络信息,它通过公共网资源实现远程用户与远程LAN或远程LAN之间连接。具有安全性好、成本低、灵活性高及便于管理等优点。随着以Internet为代表的IP网络普及,在IP网络基础上构架VPN成为一种主要的趋势。本文全面介绍了该VPN的工作机制、特点及协议,并分析VPN技术在图书馆信息系统中具体应用和该项技术的发展前景。VPN is a kind of connecting technology used widely in WAN,which realizes to transport private network information securely in public network,Which realizes connection across the public network between remote user and remote LAN or between remote LAN.VPN's advantage are good security、low-cost、good flexibility and easy management etc..infrastructure VPN on IP network became a main trend with internet popular.This paper presents working mechanism、characteristics and protocols of VPN,Application of VPN technology in library information system and its developing prospect is analyzed.
