摘　　要：论文用面向对象的方法对GIS地图符号进行了特征分析和分类,提出了基于图元的符号绘制方法;进而介绍了符号库系统的管理机制、存储机制、编码设计以及参数表建立等四个方面。上述方法及技术已经在大型国产GIS软件-织女星地理信息系统VegaGIS中得到实现。The research purpose of this paper is to develop map symbol database subsystem for our country's large scale GIS platform-VegaGIS.With the Object-Oriented method,this paper classifies map symbols according to the features.It also proposes the drawing methods for map symbols based on graphical element.In addition,this paper introduces thoroughly four aspects of symbol database system:managing,storing,coding,and creating parameter table.All the mentioned techniques of symbol database system have been applied in the project VegaGIS.
