摘　　要：首先对系统采用的MPEG4图像压缩算法作简要介绍,然后详细分析图像通信系统的硬件和软件设计,最后提出基于ADSLModem图像通信的实现方案。由于采用基于视听对象的图像压缩算法和灵活可变的CPLD、高速TMS320C6701硬件组合设计,系统实现了基于电话线的实时图像传输,且易于升级。Firstly, the MPEG4 compression arithmetic is introduced simply; then the hardware and software designs of the image transmission system are analyzed; at last a practical project of transmission based on ADSL modem is put forward.Because of using visualbased image compression arithmetic and flexible CPLD,highspeed TMS320C6701. The design realizes the realtime image transmission on basis of phoneline, and contributes to the research and development of videophones.
