摘  要:为提高彩色等离子体显示器(PDP)的性能,研究了维持期辅助脉冲对PDP的亮度、亮度效能、功耗、白平衡、色温等参数的影响。实验结果表明,维持脉冲上升的同时加500ns宽度的辅助脉冲,能同时提高亮度和色温,但白平衡变差;维持稳定期和下降期加辅助脉冲,使亮度降低,功耗增加,白平衡变差,其他参数基本不变;维持空闲期加辅助脉冲使屏的亮度下降到原来的7%;辅助脉冲的组合使所有参数都变得更差。分别对R、G、B信号加不同的辅助脉冲,可有效提高一项或多项性能参数而没有负面影响,适合于实际应用。Influence of different auxiliary pulses on properties of the color plasma display panel (PDP), including luminance, luminance efficiency, power, white color balance and color temperature was studied. The results show that applying a pulse, 500 ns in width, to the sustaining pulse considerably affects its performance. For example, while the sustaining pulse rises, it may simultaneously increase the luminance and the color temperature at the cost of the color balance deterioration. However, when the sustaining pulse is in steady period or falls, the auxiliary pulse only results in a decrease of the luminance, an increase of power, and poor color balance with other parameters remaining unchanged. Moreover, it reduces the luminance by 7% during the idle sustain-period. Combinations of auxiliary pulses make almost all parameters worse. We suggest that in practical applications, appropriate auxiliary pulses applied to R, G and B signals respectively may significantly improve one or more of the parameters without negative effect.
