摘　　要：本文考证了熊胆的原动物、药材鉴别法和效用,认为本草所指当为黑熊和棕熊的胆。传统的水试法和驱尘试验对熊胆真伪鉴定简捷有效。本草所记药理效用,大多得到现代药理与临床研究的证实。In this article the original animal of Chinese drug xiongdan and its identification and effects have been examined. It is considered that this drug described in Chinese herbal books is the gallbladder from selenarc-tos thibetanus or Ursus areas. The traditional appraisal methods: water test and repellent t'est are forthright and efficacious. The pharmacological action recorded in ancient herbal books are mostly confirmed by morden pharmacological and clinical researches.
