摘　　要：直到现在,国内权威的外国文学教材仍在不断地提出西方文学在思想观念上的各种"局限",其中最为突出的就是所谓"个人主义"、"人道主义"和"宗教观念"的"局限"。其实这恰恰表现了我们自身的局限,表现了我们与西方文学之间因文化传统的差异而存在的精神距离。我们应该正视这种距离,这不仅是为了推进外国文学研究领域思想评论的不断发展,也是为了面对我们的现实人生。So far, there often appear in authoritative Chinese textbooks of foreign literature various 'limitations' on the ideological concepts of western literature, especially the 'limitations' on the so-called 'individualism', 'humanitarianism' and 'Christian concept'. Based on an analysis of the rationality of these concepts and that of the spiritual distance originated from our own cultural tradition, this paper puts forward a different view. While articulating a wish to enhance the continuous development of ideological review in the field of foreign literature study, the author also expresses intense concern for real life.
