摘　　要：宗教信仰是人类精神生活的重要方面,对民族文化有深刻的影响。谚语是语言的重要组成部分,具有十分丰富的文化内涵,反映不同的宗教思想和宗教观念。研究不同的宗教思想与观念在汉英谚语中的反映将有助于我们加深对中西文化背景和文化差异的了解。The religious belief plays an important role in people's spiritual life and gives a deep influence on the national culture. As one of the main parts of the language, proverbs are rich in cultural contents and mirror the different religious thoughts and concepts. This paper will be helpful for us to understand and learn the background knowledge and the difference between Chinese and Western cultures.
