Objective:To compare the constructive stability with three kinds of anterior cervical plates in clinically simulated single-level anterior intervertebral decompression and fusion model to provide biomechanical basis for clinical application.Methods:6 fresh calf cervical spine specimens. After intact specimen underwent test, in each specimen, the following construct were tested successively in model: fixation with Orion, Codman, Window respectively. Results:The ROM of the following construct with Orion, Codman, Window respectively were less significantly than those of the intact specimens in flexion(P<0.05). In extension, the ROM of construct with Codman and Window were less significantly than those of the intact specimens (P<0.05). But there was no significantly difference between the constructs with Orion and the intact spine specimens (P>0.05). There were no significantly difference among the constructs with three kinds of plate respectively and the intact specimens in lateral bending and rotation. However, there were no significantly difference among Orion, Codman and Window(P>0.05). Conclusions:Three kinds of plates provide effective stability for cervical spine.
