义竹断裂带——台湾西南沿海一个孕震构造体

摘　　要：台湾西南部沿海地区,有一条走向ENE的活动断裂带。少部分在陆地,沿嘉义—台南一线展布;大部分在海域,向西南斜穿台湾海峡,可能延到珠江口外的南海,实为台西南首屈一指的活动性大断裂带。沿此断裂带的嘉义、台南,20世纪以来6级以上地震发生了多次。如以1964年甲仙地震起算,此带虽有30年的平静期,但今后发生地震的可能性仍很大。There is an ENE-striking active fault zone in the coastal area of southwestern Taiwan. Its minor portion is distributed along the line of Jiayi-Tainan on land, while its major portion lies in sea areas, stretching south westward through the Taiwan Strait possibly to the mouth of the Pearl River, so it is actually the greatest active fault zone in southwestern Taiwan.Since the 20th century, a number of Ms≥6. 0 earthquakes have taken place in Jiayi and Tainan along the fault zone. The zone has calmed for nearly 30 years since the 1969 Jiaxian earthquake. So earthquakes may possibly occur.
