摘　　要：桌面视频会议是多媒体技术与通信技术的完美结合。本文介绍了Ｉｎｔｅｒｎｅｔ中的六种桌面视频会议系统，探讨了桌面视频会议系统的两个主要技术问题：协议和数据压缩，提出了一种视频会议协议模型，并对Ｉｎｔｅｒｎｅｔ中桌面视频会议系统的发展趋势进行了展望。Desktop videoconferencing is a good marriage of multimedia and cornmunications,Six desktopvideoconferencing systems on the Internet are introduced in this paper.Two critical techniques in the desktopvideoconferencing system,protocols and data compression,are discussed.We also present a protocol model ofInternet based videoconferencing,Finally,the trend of desktop videoconferencing system is given.
