摘　　要：Ｔｒａｎｓｐｕｔｅｒ是一种特别适于并行处理的处理器芯片，但是由于缺乏系统支撑软件，使得对其进行应用开发很不方便。ＭＧＰＯＳ（Ｍｅｄｉｕｍ－ＧｒａｉｎｅｄｐａｒａｌｌｅｌＯｐｅｒａｔｉｎｇＳｙｓｔｅｍ）是一个基于Ｔｒａｎｓｐｕｔｅｒ网络的多任务多进程并行处理操作系统，它支持现有Ｔｒａｎｓｐｕｔｅｒ的ＯＣＣＡＭ程序设计模型，同时允许在装载时根据硬件资源情况对任务进行分配。此外所提供的存储管理接口和进程通信接口等功能为应用程序的开发提供了良好的基础。本文描述了该操作系统的设计思想以及一些关键技术，同时对其所特有的一些性能进行了说明，该平台的建立为并行处理技术的进一步研究提供了有力的支持。Transputer is a processor particularly fitting for Paraller processing .But it can t be developed easily due to Iack of supporting software.MGPOS (Medium-Grained Operating System)is a multi-task and multi-process operating system developed for transputer network,which supports for thesimple programming model of OCCAM-style ,and for the distribution of tasks on given processors to be determinded at Ioad time rather than during compilation.It also provides effective interfaces for memorymanagement and inter-task communication.This paper addresses some ksy techniques about the architecture of MGPOS ,and some special characters are also presented .All of these provide powerful support for parallelprocessing systems.
