SCE)by diffedential pulse voltammetry.The detection limit and the linearrange of the method were 0.4ng/ml and 2～ 90ng/ml,respotively. The ratio of cadmium toBTAMB in the complex was found to be 1 :1.The adsorption and mechanism of the complexwere studied,It was proved that the adsorption of the complex obeys Frumkin isotherm. Themethod has been aplied to the determination of trace cadmium of underground water in meighbor ing sites around iron and steel plant. The result was satisfactory
