摘　　要：在简要描述等距线生成一般算法的基础上，重点阐述了等距线在模具ＣＡＤ／ＣＡＭ中的一些主要应用实例．Offset curves are widely used in the field of die and mould. In the paper,the general algorism of generating the offset-curve is discussed. Then the paper discusses some main applications of offset curves in CAD/CAM of dies. First,Same-distance magnified picture is used in computer aided layout of blank offset ewers also is used in design sheet-metal itself by offsetting one metal thickness. Finitc element meshes can be generated automatically via offsetting. In the manufacturing of dies. we can generate NC code of free form outline curves by using offsetting method.
