摘　　要：本文在总结前人研究成果的基础上，提出了矿物材料和矿物材料学的定义，论述了矿物材料的分类方法和矿物材料学的研究任务，并简述了我国非金属矿物材料学的研究概况。?On the basis of the achievements on scientific research of predecess0rs,this paper has putforward the definition of mineral materials and mineral material science;discussed the classification of mineralmaterials and the research targets of mineral material science; and summed up the present research outline ofnonmetallic mineral material science in china.
