摘　　要：陕北书院始建于宋代而昌盛于明清时代。在此期间,陕北各地相继建立了书院,书院大部分由地方官和当地绅士捐银而建,其目的是为讲学和生员们准备科学考试提供场所。书院对陕北文化的发展起到了积极的推动作用。The academies of classical learning of Northern Shaanxi were built in Song Dynasty. However,they were prosperous in Ming and Qing Dynasties. In the long process of history, they were evolved from the form of giving lectures and collecting books to the place of preparing imperial examination for students. After the abolition of imperial examination, they were abandoned or rebuilt to schools successively. In the culture history of Northern Shaanxi, they left ever-lasting impressions.
