摘　　要：从历史强震时间分布特征入手，分析了临汾强震３００年周期说法的来由，指出这种说法的片面性。Starting with the time distribution character of the historical strong earthquakes,the derivation whichthe period of 300 years exists in the strong seismicity of Linfen has analyzed,it is suggested that the argumentis unilateral.
