山西强震活动特征

摘　　要：山西地区是著名的强地震活动带，据记载历史上曾发生Ｍ≥７地震６次，其平均重复周期约３００年左右。１６９５年临汾地震的灾害非常严重，死亡人数５２６００人。震中烈度高，极震区面积大，有感范围广。研究表明主震的震源深度大。Shanxi area is a well-known high seismic zone,where occurred six strong earthquakes with magnitudeseven or more from the historical records,and average reccurrence time of the strong events nught be about300 years. The disasters from Linfen earthquake,Shanxi,in 1695 were very serious with about 52 600 deaths,high intensity on epicenter area, Large meizoseismic region and extensional felt area. The study shows thatthe depth of the main shock might be larger.
