摘　　要：简述了１６９５年临汾大地震的震害，回顾了半个世纪以来，国内学者对该次地震研究的现状及存在的问题，指出了从这次地震中应汲取的教训。The Earthquake disaster of the 1695 Lhfen macroquake has been outlined. the current situation and theproblems analyzed by the scholars at home and abroad since half a century have been overviewed,and the les-son necessary to suck out of the earthquake has been suggested.
