An environmental investigation on Tajiao Marine Dumping Site

摘　　要：本文根据1993年进行的水文、化学、地质、生物等专业20多个项目的调查，报道了九龙江口外塔角海洋倾倒区启用两年后的环境现状，以及倾倒活动对海区环境、资源的影响。结果表明：两年来，塔角海洋倾倒区及其附近已出现不同程度的淤积，但未影响厦门港主航道；由于海区水动力条件好，倾倒区一带水质基本正常，与邻近海区比较，相差不大；因疏浚泥富含有机物，与倾倒前比较，倾倒区底质硫化物增加115．6×10-6（m／m），表明底质已受到有机污染的影响；倾倒活动对底栖生物的影响较大，倾倒区内生物种类明显减少，棘皮动物的反应最为敏感，仅分布于倾倒区外。本文还提出了该倾倒区今后使用及管理的意见。Based on a comprehensive investigation including over 20 hydrologic,chemical,geological and biological parametres in 1993, the present environmental statu and impacts from dumping and resources in Tajiao Marine Dumping Site (TMDS), off the Jiulongjiang Estuary of the southeast Fujian,China are reported in this paper. The results showed that: (1)TMDS and its adjacent area have had a tendency of siltation to varying degrees, without effects on the main channel of Xiamen Harbour; (2)The water quality is still normal on the whole and there is no difference in comparison with the adjacent area due to the better hydrodynamic conditions in this sea area; (3) It is shown the bottom sediment has been somewhat polluted by the impacts of the organic materials,in comparison with that before dumping. Sulfide in the bottom sediment in TMDS increases up to 115. 6 × 10-6 (m/m) owing to its high content in the dredged materials; (4 ) The dumping activities brings a notable impact on the benthos and the biologic species has significantly reduced in TMDS, especially echinoderm which is the most sensitive in reaction. As it a result,is only distributed off TMDS.The recommendations on the further use of the dumping site,and management improvement are put forward in this paper.
