摘　　要：根据对长江上游地区的调查研究和前人的研究成果，从岩相古地理和地文等角度，探讨三峡的形成时代，认为三峡河段是先成河，峡谷的形成起因于２．００±０．２０ＭａＢ．Ｐ．的构造运动；正是由于三峡的形成，使长江上游的内流水系格局被打破，外流水系逐步形成．Based upon our study on the upper reaches of Yangtze River and the rich data accumulatedby predecessors,the paper make an inquiry into the formation times of Three Gorges from the angles oflithofacies paeogeography and physiographic features, and consider that the reach of Three Gorges wasantecedent stream which was formed by the tectonic movement at 2.00±0.20MaB,P. It was the for-mation of Three Gorges that broke up the in terval drainage pattern of the apper reaches of Yangtze Riv-er and brought on the formation of the exterior drainage.
