摘 要:本文对碱木素的基本特性及它的纸页增强效果和机理进行砑究,发现碱木素与MWL相比,在分手量及其分布、元素组成和官能团含量等基本特性方面,均存在一定差别,麦草碱木素与杨木碱木素的这些特性也不相同。碱木素具有良好的纸页增强效果,特别在低打浆度纸料中的应用效果更佳;碱木素经氧化后,其纸页增强效果进一步提高;碱木素的平均分子量对纸页增强效果影桷不大;麦草碱木素较杨木碱木素有更好的纸页增强效果。碱木素中的羟基在纸页增强中起重要作用,但羟基含量较高时再增加羟基数量并不能进一步提高纸页的强度。相反,增加碱木素中的竣基含量则能使纸页强度有所提高。碱木素使纸页强度提高,主要依靠它的活性基团,在纸页干燥时与纤维之间产生的氢键力作用。This paper deals with the basic characteristics of AL and its effect and mecha- nism strengthening paper. Several conclusions have been got as follows: there are some differences between AL and MWL in their molecular weight and molecular weight distributions, elemental compositions and functional group contents etc. It is also discovered that AL of wheat straw is different from that of poplar in these characteristics. The strength of paper can be well improved by applying AL to pulp, in the ease of pulp with low beating degree the effect is especially good. If AL is oxidized its strengthening ability will be further improved. The average molecular weight of wheat straw is better than that of poplar in strengthening paper. Hydroxyl groups in AL play an important role in strengthening paper, but it is no useful for further improving the strength of paper to increase the amount of hydroxyl groups in AL whert the content of hydroxyl groups is high. On the contrary, the strength of paper can be further improved when the amount of carboxyl groups in AL increases. Improvement. of the strength of paper relies on the hydrogen bonds that are formed between functional groups in AL and fibers when the paper is dried.
