摘　　要：从1690年到今天,美国的城市化经历了三个发展阶段,即酝酿期、初步完成期、郊区化时期。美国城市化不同于其它国家城市化的个性特征比较明显,主要表现在内生的自我发展、跳越性、流动性。美国城市化的一般规律对我国城市化发展有一定的借鉴意义。The practical corn three distinct facilitate the pl iv American urbanization process falls into three stages from 1690 to present time： pre-urbanization, etion of the urbanization, and suburbanization. Endogensis, paroxysmal and liquidity are the e features of the American urbanization process, from which some general rules can be drawn to urbanization process in China.
