摘 要:过去,语法著作对英语外加状语的研究仅仅局限于句法层面,认为外加状语只是起到评注性作用,是句子中可有可无的成份。一个篇章的生成实际上是作者和读者进行交流的一个过程,即从无限的语言资源中做出有限的选择。所以外加状语也具备明显的语用功能,那就是,要唤起读者参与建构一个衔接与连贯自然语篇的意识与积极性。In the past,the study of English disjunct in grammar works was only limited in syntax. It was considered that the disjunct merely plays the part of notes and commentary,which is an unimportant element in a sentence. The growth of a passage in fact is a course of communication of the author and the reader;that is,to make a limited choice from limitless language resources;so that the disjunct also has the language applied function;that is,to call the reader to join and set up a sense and enthusiasm for linking a natural language passage.
