摘 要:磁盘操作是机械操作.基于磁盘的存储子系统是计算机主要瓶颈.在磁盘的操作中,磁头的寻道是磁盘操作的主要浪费.由于用户对数据的访问是偏斜的,提出磁道预留技术,将访问频率高的只读数据集中起来,并在预留磁道中进行复制;而对于写请求,磁盘驱动器可以就数据写入磁盘的空磁道或预留磁道.针对单盘与多盘的情况,分别研究了n-way预留与n-d-way预留策略.模拟试验表明,磁道预留技术能减少30%以上的寻道时间.The operation of a disk is mechanical. So disk-based storage system is the main bottleneck of computer system. Among the disk operations, cylinder-seeking time is the main waste. This paper provides the technology of cylinder reserved to decrease the seeking time. In this method, the disk driver manage module monitors the access frequency of the data in disk, And it clusters the read-only data with higher access frequency and replicates them in reserved cylinders. For write requests, the data can be written in reserved cylinders or free cylinders. In this paper, we present two strategies: n-way Cylinder Reserve in single disk and n-d-way Cylinder Reserve in disk array. The simulation shows that it can decrease over 30% seeking.
