摘　　要：山本有三经过十几年的戏剧创作后,于1925年提出了“动极而定”的思想,并在中短篇小说创作中实践了这一思想。小说中的主人公大都经历坎坷,但正是生活的磨练使他们正视现实,不断努力,从而达到积极面对人生的精神境界。正因如此,山本有三的中短篇小说在当时深受欢迎,有广泛的读者。After more than ten years＇ play writing, Yuzo Yamamoto put forward his idea of “Suwari”, and then used it in writing his short stories and novelettes. In his fictions, most protagonists＇ lives are full of frustrations, but it is such frustrations that have tempered them and enabled them to face reality. Finally, through perpetual struggles, they succeed in achieving the spiritual realm of positively confronting their life. It is for these reasons that Yuzo＇s works enjoyed such a popularity at his time.
