摘　　要：Since the end of the Cold War,ASEAN has expanded its memberships,built up its strength,and quickened its integrative steps,thus becoming an important force that can not be neglected in the Asian-Pacific region.Faced with ASEAN’s rise and strength,China,also one of the important powers in the area,must consider howto adjust its relations with ASEAN.Only by consolidating and developing the conventional cooperation and friendship with joint effort to exclude bifurcation and lay aside disputes with ASEAN can China rebuild newfriendly partnership with ASEAN and realize their target of reciprocity and mutual benefit and prosperity.Since the end of the Cold War, ASEAN has expanded its memberships, built up its strength, and quickened its integrative steps, thus becoming an important force that can not be neglected in the Asian - Pacific region. Faced with ASEAN＇s rise and strength, China, also one of the important powers in the area, must consider how to adjust its relations with ASEAN. Only by consolidating and developing the conventional cooperation and friendship with joint effort to exclude bifurcation and lay aside disputes with ASEAN can China rebuild new friendly partnership with ASEAN and realize their target of reciprocity and mutual benefit and prosperity.
