摘 要:研制出一种适用于光纤放大器的Er3+-Yb3+共掺双包层光纤(EYDCF),它在980 nm和1 530 nm的吸收分别达到16.8 dB/m和20.6 dB/m,980 nm吸收带半高宽达到200 nm。在波长为980 nm、泵浦功率为2 W的条件下,可以得到28.8 dBm(760 mW)的输出,相比掺Er3+光纤(EDF),EYDCF的增益高,所需光纤长度短,所以非线性效应的发生得到抑制。With increase of capacity in wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) transmission systems, a novel Er^3+-Yb^3+ co-doped double cladding fiber(EYDCF) has received more attention,which has better properties than conventional Er^3+ doped fiber. In this paper,EYDCFs for application in amplifier were designed and fabricated,and the principles of EYDCF have been analyzed. Absorption of the EYDCF is 20.6 dB/m and 16.8 dB/m at 1 530 nm and 980 nm respectively. FWHM in 980 nm is 200 nm. 28.8 dBm output power was obtained with a pump wavelength of 980 nm and a pump power of 2 W,which is higher than conventional EDF. The nonlinearity of EYDCF was restrained by decrease of fiber length.
