摘　　要：在数字监控系统中,嵌入式技术和MPEG-4压缩编码技术越来越受关注,开发嵌入式MPEG-4数字视频监控系统,具有较高的技术先进性和良好的市场应用前景。文章在简要分析MPEG压缩编码标准及特点的基础上,给出了一种嵌入式MPEG-4视频监控系统的整体设计方案,并详细介绍了嵌入式MPEG-4编解码的实现。实际应用表明,该系统具有实时性好、性能稳定、无需专人管理、可扩展性好等优点。In data monitoring system, the embedded technique and MPEG-4 encoding and decoding technique have got more and more attentions. It needs advanced technique and has well market foreground to develop MPEG-4 based embedded data video monitoring system. On the basis of briefly analyzing MPEG-4 compression encoding standard and its characteristics, this paper presents the whole design scheme of an embedded MPEG-4 video surveillance system. And the design of embedded MPEG-4 encoding and decoding are provided in detail. Practical application has indicated that the system has some virtues, such as good real-time performance; performance stabilizing; need no special man managing and good expansibility etc.
