摘　　要：奥尼尔与曹禺剧作多有相似之处,这不仅在两人的代表作《榆树下的欲望》与《雷雨》的表层显性形态如主题、人物、技巧、文化内蕴等诸方面表现出来,也在其深层隐性形态,如他们对生命、社会、对人的共同理解上表现出来。这些因素的整合,构成了两人各自的、同时也是相似或相近的悲剧观念。The plays, Desire Under the Elms by Eugeng O＇neill and Thunderstorm by CaoYu, nave a lot in common in the form of the subject, the description of the characters and the technique of expression. Not only the characters but also the plots in these two plays based on reality. However, they all went beyond the reality at the same time, which embodied the ultimate understanding about the life and being. Therefore, a shared tragic view was formed.
