摘　　要：阅读是现代人类社会生活中的一个重要方面。20世纪60年代以前虽曾有人涉足阅读理论研究领域,但并无太大的发展,更无描述阅读全过程的阅读模式。60年代以后,对阅读本质的研究得到了突飞猛进的发展并先后诞生了信息加工、心理语言、交互、图式理论等阅读模式。本文主要介绍了近五十年来国外在这一领域内的一些重大研究成果。Reading is an important part in modern human society. Prior to 1960s,some people set foot in reading research,but there was no great progress and no reading model which describes the whole reading process. After 1960s, research on the nature of reading developed swiftly and a few influential reading models： information processing model, psycholinguistic model, schematic view, have come to existence. This paper mainly introduces some significant research achievements of this field in western countries in the past 50 years.
