摘　　要：数据业务的飞速增长,使下一代城域网(MAN)成为近来的研究热点。文章先讨论了现有MAN结构及其存在的问题,然后提出一个城域自动交换光网络(ASON)的结构设计,并对其若干性能进行分析。城域ASON能够进行快速连接配置,以及在此基础上提供可靠的网络保护恢复和有效的流量工程,可以为运营商提供一个经济有效的MAN解决方案。With the tremendous growth of data traffic, next generation of MAN has become the focus of research recently Firstly, the architecture of existing MAN and its problems are discussed in this paper. Then, the architecture design of metropolitan area ASON and its performance is presented and analyzed. Metropolitan area ASON can provide the function of fast provisioning, which is the base of higher network reliability and effective traffic engineering, and can be a cost-effective solution of MAN for carriers.
