摘　　要：From Oct. 24 to Nov. 5, 2004, Prof. Sun Jiaguang, Vice President of NSFC led a delegation to Hungary and the Czech Republic. The mission of the delegation was to investigate relevant policies and systems that guarantee a sound environment for science funding, especially those regulations and constitutions of counterpart funding institutions in the two countries. During the visit, the delegation visited Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Hungarian Scientific Research Fund （OTKA）, Czech National Science Foundation and Academy of Sciences of Czech Republic, etc.
