摘　　要：以太网无源光网络(EPON)是近年来接入网研究的热点。操作、管理和维护(OAM)子层实现以太网数据链路层中的网络管理。介绍了OAM子层的必要性,EPON网络中OAM子层的功能和数据包格式。OAM是一个可扩展的协议,文中针对实际的应用,提出了对OAM进行扩展,使OAM子层满足用户的需求。Ethernet passive optical network（EPON） has been hot in access network technology in recent years. Operation,administration and maintenance （OAM） sublayer do management in data link layer. In this article,we discuss the necessity of OAM sublayer and introduce the OAM function defined by standard and OAM protocol data unit （OAMPDU） structure. OAM is a extensible protocol. We also extend OAM sublayer to satisfy the specific applications.
