摘　　要：构建社会主义和谐社会，是一项艰巨复杂的系统工程，需要全党全国人民长期坚持不懈地努力奋斗。青年是祖国的未来，民族的希望，要坚定信念，发奋学习，艰苦创业，锤炼品德，为开创中华民族的新纪元，为构建社会主义和谐社会建功立业，这是时代赋予当代青年的历史责任。To build a harmonious society is an arduous and systematic project, which needs long - term unremitting efforts made by our Party and the whole nation. Young people are the future of the country as well as the hope of the nation. They should strengthen conviction, study hard, work hard for great undertakings, and develop morality, so as to open a new epoch for Chinese people, and devote themselves to constructing socialism and a harmonious society as well, which is contemporary young people＇s historic responsibility given by the times.
