摘　　要：西北农林科技大学建校以来历年SCI论文统计与分析结果显示:截至2004年,SCI共收录西北农林科技大学科学论文426篇,逐年分布呈总体增长趋势。其中西北农林科技大学合并组建以来,无论是SCI收录的论文总数,还是作为第一作者单位的SCI论文绝对数量的增长幅度都表现出迅猛增长之势,但是在SCI论文总体水平上与兄弟院校相比还有不小的差距。学校426篇SCI论文分布于169种SCI源期刊之中,源期刊影响因子加权平均值仅为0.969,处于小于1的水平。论文期刊影响因子主要集中分布在0<IF<2之间,所占比率达81%;学校SCI第一作者单位论文176篇,占总SCI论文的41.3%,原创性论文数量偏低;SCI论文所涉及的学科分布不均衡,传统学科优势在SCI论文水平上表现并不明显;论文作者主要集中在少数几个高产作者之中,科研人员覆盖面较小。学校跻身国家“985”建设序列,要真正成为国际知名高水平的研究型大学,学科平台建设,人才培养与梯队建设依然任重道远。Abstract：SCI itself has become an important and authorized factor to evaluate academic levels of acountry, an organization, a person as well as the quality of scientific research and scientific papers. Statis- tic analysis of SCI-collected scientific papers of the Northwest A＆F University shows that426 papers by the end of 2004 has been collected by SCI with an increased trend for each year and much more rapid in- crease in terms of both the quantity and those with first name order of the university since the foundation of Northwest A＆F University, although the overall standards is still backward compared with other coun- terpart institutes. The average IF （Impact Factor） of overall 426 papers is 0. 969, less than 1. IF of most of the papers are within 0 and 2, the number of those accounting for 81~. Papers with first name order of the university account for 41.3%, only 176. The orimitive oaoers are low in number and the distributionof the paper among disciplines are not even. The traditional outstanding disciplines appear not signilicant. The papers center around just a small amount of authors, not having an overall coverage.
