摘 要:野牛草是一种抗逆性强、管理粗放的草坪植物,非常适合我国一些缺水城市水土保持和园林绿化的需要,但也存在绿期较短、颜色较浅、雄株坪用景观不好等缺点。近年来,通过对野牛草种质资源进行鉴定和评价,从中选择了大量优良的种质材料,使其坪用缺点逐步改善,并利用有性杂交和生物技术等育种手段培育出了许多优良坪用品种。Buffalo grass, as one extensive managing turf grass, has strong resistance against adverse environment. It is very suitable soil and water conservation and virescence in some cities lacking water in our country, but it has some shortcomings, such as short green time, light--colored, male plant being not suitable for turf grass. In recent years, through identification and evaluation of buffalo grass germplasm resouces, a large number of good quality materials were chosen from it,by utilizing sexual hybridization and biotechnology breeding methods a lot of fine lawny varieties were bred.
