摘　　要：Basing on the theory of TCM and author’s clinical practice,the thought of hypertension diagnosis and treatment on TCM is put forward.Hypertension can be named as "vertigo" in TCM,while it should be described as its main symptom if vertigo is not included.Clinically,hypertension is mostly manifested by excessive and yang syndrome,but prolonged hypertension will lead to the damage of viscera’s ying-yang,Qi and blood.So six type syndrome differentiation is advanced.For differentiation,syndrome is more important than diease.Although yang-syndrome is observed frequently,yin-syndrome is not few in clinic.Basing on the theory of TCM and author＇s clinical practice, the thought of hypertension diagnosis and treatment on TCM is put forward.
