摘　　要：学科交叉研究是解决复杂性科学问题和产生重大科学发现的重要途径。促进学科交叉发展需要合适的组织形式。国际经验表明,研究中心是促进学科发展一种成功的组织形式。本文选择美国科学和技术中心(STC)作为研究案例,考察STC的目标、运行特点、组织与管理模式和成就,提出对我国学科交叉研究发展有借鉴意义的几点结论。Interdisciplinary approach is an important way to solve complicated scientific problems and make great discoveries in science. Facilitating interdisciplinary research needs an appropriate form of organization. It has been demonstrated that research center is a successful form of organization by international practices. The paper discusses a model of research center - -U. S. Science and Technology Center（STC） funded by National Foundation of Science （NFS）, and proposes some recommendatory conclusions for interdisciplinary research development in China.
