摘　　要：饕餮纹是存在于上古社会环境中的一种视觉符号,现代人对它产生了“狞厉”的视觉感受,这种视觉感受不能作为解释饕餮纹文化涵义的依据。研究饕餮纹首先应避免由视觉反映而产生的心理因素的干扰,提倡以文献考据与实物考据两者互为印证的研究方法,客观的认知饕餮纹在当时社会、宗教、意识形态等方面的价值所在。Glutton motive is a symbol in ancient times, and modem people think it is ferocious, but the cultural meaning of glutton motive can not be explained under this visual feeling. The study of glutton motive should avoid such feeling, and use textual and material object research together. Then the value of glutton motive on society, religion and ideology can be recognized.
