摘　　要：“三线建设”这个被人们遗忘已久的历史名词 ,随着西部大开发的实施重新受到注视 ,人们重新探究三线建设的主要动因。本文从三个方面探讨三线建设的历史原因 :一 .备战是三线建设的主要动因 ;二 .三线建设是区域经济均衡发展战略的需要。三 .With the implementation of the western development, “Third-Line Construction”, the historical noun forgotten by people for a long time, is again accentuated and the main reasons of the Third- Line Construction are once again explored. This paper has posed its historical reasons of the Third- Line Construction from three aspects： Firstly, preparation for wars is the main reason of the Third - Line Construction. Secondly, it is the demand of the balanced development strategy of regional economy. Thirdly, it is the need of putting priority to the development of heavy industry.
