摘　　要：The Borobudur in Indonesia,one of the greatest ancient buildings in the world,enjoys equal popularity with the Great Wall in China,the Great Pyramid in Egypt and the Angkor in Cambodia.The Borobudur is also one of the historical and cultural heritages with greatest values for human kinds as well as a tourism resort that attracts the most tourists in modern time.However,so far study on the Borobudur remains on the superficial stage.Therefore,the writer makes an on-the-spot investiˉgation of the place with the hope to better understand the world heritage.The Borobudur in Indonesia, one of the greatest ancient buildings in the world, enjoys equal popularity with the Great Wall in China, the Great Pyramid in Egypt and the Angkor in Cambodia.
