摘　　要：An overview of the applications of semiconductor lasers is presented. Diode lasers are widely used today, and the most prevalent use of the laser is probably in CD and DVD drives for computers and audio/video media sys- tems. Semiconductor lasers are also used in many other fields ranging from optical fiber communications to display, medicine and pumping sources.An overview of the applications of semiconductor lasers is presented.
