摘　　要：本文从语义学的角度,就英汉翻译实践中较难处理的形象修辞,探讨了在英语中常见的几种修辞类型,主张应根据其语域和所处语义环境,着重其指称意义,掌握其言外之义,从而达到“神似”并兼顾“形似”,而不应局限于修辞形象语言形式本身,并且提出了多种具体应对形象修辞的翻译处理方法。We maintain that, in terms of the translation of metaphoric images, more priorities ought to be given to the connotation of the images than to the denotation on the basis of semantic features, while enlisting some of the solutions to the different types of rhetoric images.
