By the use of metallurgical microseope and scanning electron microseope (SEM), this paper studies Ihe effects of Cr/C on the mierostrueture of high chromium wear resistant and corrosion resistant rast iron with 4 peircent of nickel. The resuhs show that; Cr/C is primary tactor of affecting amounts and forms of carbides in the microstructure of high chromium wear resistant and corrosion resistant cast iron with 4 pen, enl. Either keeping the content of chromium or keeping that of carlton to adjust Cr/C can both adjust amounts and forms of carbides greatly. With the content of chromium fixed ,as Cr/C increases, amounts of carbides decrease, forms of carbides change from reticulation to and impact fracture changes from brittle and duetile fracture to ductile fracture . With the content of carhon fixed at lower level, as Cr/C increases, amounts of carbides increase greatly, forms of earbides change from fracted reticulation and isolated strip to reticulation and impact fracture changes from ductile fracture to brittle fracture . But with content of carlton at higher level, as Cr/C increases, amounts of carhides ,don't increase obviously anti forms of carbides are all reticular.
