摘　　要：文中讨论基于IP协议,采用Linux操作系统和Motion-JPG实时编码器的嵌入式网络摄像机(IPCAM)的设计,并从硬件结构、软件设计和客户端几个方面介绍具体的实现方法。IPCAM的硬件抽象层设计方法使其具备快速硬件平台移植特性,低成本的以太网图像传输方案避免模拟信道远距传输的信号衰减问题。与传统的模拟摄像机相比,IPCAM提供了经济高效的远程视频监控解决方案。In this paper, the design approach of IP-based Net Camera （LPCAM） powered by Linux OS and a Realtime Motion-JPG Encoder is described. The detail implementation of LPCAM is also been addressed from aspects of hardware framework, software design and client. The design methodology of IPCAM＇ s hardware abstract layer makes it easy to migrate to other hardware platform. Compared with analog video camera, LPCAM facilitates Ethemet for video transmission, which avoids signal fades and provides high efficient yet economical remote surveillance solution.
