摘　　要：对UN IX电子邮件系统做了简要介绍,阐述了SM TP协议及ESM TP扩展协议的工作原理,介绍了与认证相关的RFC标准,提出了认证模块与邮件系统其他模块的关系,并给出了认证模块PAM在SM TP服务器中的具体实现.This paper gave an introduction to email system protocol and extended protocol ESMTP, introduced the explored the relationship between authentication model on UNIX. It described the working principle of SMTP RFC standards related to authentication. This paper with the other model of email system, gave an implementation of the authentication model PAM in a SMTP server
