摘　　要：目的掌握河南省2004年中国国际戒烟竞赛参赛者的情况,为今后组织全省控烟活动积累经验。方法18岁以上现在吸烟者,在竞赛开始前至少吸烟一年以上的河南居民,可报名参赛。对参赛者的各种数据资料进行统计学处理。结果17个省辖市共7378人报名,平均年龄为38.7岁,职业以干部和工人为主;平均每日吸烟量为18支/d;58.2%的参赛者以前戒过烟。多因素分析表明,每天吸烟量和年龄是影响参赛者以前是否戒过烟的相关因素。结论戒烟竞赛调动了广大吸烟者戒烟的积极性,营造了全方位的控烟氛围,为促进今后控烟工作的开展具有重要意义。Objective To investigate the status of participants in Henan International Quit ＆ Win 2004 smoking cessation competition and provide experience for organizing future tobacco control activities in Henan province. Methods Adult current smokers above 18 years old who have smoked for at least one year, residing in Henan province can register for the contest. Results Totally, 7378 smokers of 17 provinces participated in this activity. The mean age was 38.7years old. Most partici- pants＇occupations were intellectual and physical workers. Per day cigarette consumption was 18/day. About 58.2% participants tried to quit before. The multivariate analysis showed that per day cigarette consumption and age were related to previous smoking cessation behavior. Conclusion Smoking cessation stimulated the smokers＇positivity and created a social smoking control environment, which makes a profound sense for the future tobacco control approaches.
