摘  要:In this paper, an exciton trapped by a Gaussian confining potential quantum dot has been investigated. Calculations are made by using the method of numerical diagonalization of Hamiltonian in the effective-mass approximation. The dependences of binding energies of the ground state and the first excited state on the size of the confining potential and the strength of the magnetic field are analysed explicitly.In this paper, an exciton trapped by a Gaussian confining potential quantum dot has been investigated.
